Bidra med feedbackPleasantly surprised the food was excellent just the portions were a little small still gets five stars from me I got the carne asada tacos and quesa birria which was very good!! The prices were a little on the high side but if you could absorb that the food is well worth it
Spent two weeks in Palo Alto and this was honestly my favorite meal. I spent a month and half living in Mexico and these tacos are really authentic simple and delicious. No frills. I had the asada, lengua, and carnitas and all were delicious. Lengua was my favorite. They also have birria (goat) here but they were all out when I visited. The agua frescas were great too hibiscus and pineapple.
A good spot to have a quick bite later in the evening.
This location sucks. $5.49 for a medium horchata. Stale chips. I ordered the $15 California burrito that was supposed to come with guacamole and sour cream. There was neither. The Al pastor either sucked or wasn’t al pastor at all. How is this place so busy? Oh right…Stanford students who have no idea what real Mexican food is don’t care cuz their folks are footing the bill for the 4 years they are here. Stay away. Go to RWC locations instead. Those are the real ones.
The carnitas tacos are really good! I’m also a fan of their green salsa. Prices have gone up a bit over the years but still not bad. Last time I was there they also offered a cash discount. But main takeaway: try the carnitas. Dietary restrictions: Can customize taco toppings on request
