Bidra med feedbackI’ve come here a few times and enjoyed everything I’ve tried! I love the menu so many sushi options! It’s usually pretty busy. Sometimes it’s tough to get the staff’s attention.
It is about time that I write a review for my all-time favorite restaurant for the last 30+ years that I've lived in the Bay Area. I love that despite how many times I've been there and shown appreciation for the food, they never once asked me to write a review. Instead, the owner just focuses on providing the very best service and food. Recently, I tried the tatami room, and I think now that is where I'll always want to sit. It is so peaceful, and I feel that I am back in Japan. The hot toasted rice tea is comforting every time. The service is really good, and I especially want to thank Maryanne for memorizing our order! Finally, my daughter has a shellfish allergy so I appreciate that they take great pains to keep her food uncontaminated by shellfish. Some of my favorite foods there: the albacore sashimi ponzu appetizer, the fried whole fish appetizer, spicy scallop roll, uni (both from Japan and from Santa Barbara), toro, salmon nigiri sushi and hamachi nigiri sushi. Dietary restrictions: Daughter has a shellfish allergy
Disclamer: dining on a company dime :D The food was as good as one would reasonably expect from a reputable sushi restaurant. Sushi came assorted on mini boats and that was neat. Appetizers were both creative and delicious and saved us from starving. Wait time between servings was pretty long for our big crowd.
I still believe decades into operation that Fuki Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in town. It has great prices for the high quality sushi and sashimi. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It’s dark, relaxed, and private. There are too many sushi places these says that completely lack atmosphere. This is the best place for a night date or a family dinner. The tatami rooms are a great experience too! The waiters and waitresses give their honest feedback and never disappoint with their recommendations. Fuki Sushi does not chase trends, it sticks to tradition—a tradition of world class sushi and atmosphere. Vegetarian options: they have vegetarian options and are always willing to make adjustments.
The food was good, and the service felt authentic. There was a nice atmosphere.
