Trio Restaurant - Palm Springs

Not super strong on this restaurant. To be fair, we may have visited on an off night. The interior uses a lot of hard surfaces and orange everywhere. Lighting could be improved. Seating inside, and outside, with large round tables for groups. The bar is well stocked. Unfortunately our food was bad. The chicken piccata was very flat and did not have the zing required. The braised short ribs looked good but oddly 95% of the dish was fat. The restaurant did comp this dish with apologies.

I have loved Trio for many years. I had a previous birthday party at this location with a party of over 40. I decided to bring some out of town guests in for dinner Sunday night. Everything from the Champagne (served warm) to the wrong food being brought out. We ordered cauliflower pizza, it came out with normal crust, Caesar's salad with no anchovies came with both anchovies on top..tasted like the entire salad had been soaked in it. Chicken dry, the cheeseburgers were disgusting with greasy meat slices on top of the patties, the fries were undercooked...How do you mess up a cheeseburger and fries?!?! The total was almost $400.00. Not great service and even worse food. Don't get me started on the smell of the parking lot where you enter the restaurant. Also, no hand soap in the restrooms...how is the staff washing their hands??? We tipped out of courtesy.

Chic and fresh! Beautiful outdoor seating with Misters -big for these hot desert days. Also clean and retro 60s decor inside. Super nice and efficient staff. Cracked, but not too loud. Food looks and tastes amazing! Presentation is very nice. Friends are crispy. French dip is divine! Acovado Toast is refreshing and so delicious!

A very casual and trendy atmosphere complements the good food in Trio. I tell you that the local mandates in Palm Springs are responsible for the requirement of proof of COVID-19 vaccination to eat here. I came here at a double date and everyone found something they enjoyed, even those with food restrictions. I'll say I was impressed by the cauliflower pizza dough and how undetectable of the real thing it tasted! The short rib was so delicate that it broke apart with each blade of the fork, no knife required. For some local food, Trio is a nice stop.

Always a wonderful culinary experience! For more than ten years we have come to the Restaurant Trio, every time we visit Palm Sources CA. The food is wonderfully attractive, high quality and appealing presented by the competent and polite staff. We've never been disappointed with our dinner. One of our favorite restaurants! Okay, so you should take photos before you eat, but it looked so great and we were hungry! Designed are the BBQ chicken pizza, the chicken piccata with asparagus and angel hair pasta with al Olio, and the trios amazing take on Mac n' cheese.
