Mikado Japanese Steakhouse

First time i was trying Japanese cooking right in front of me and what an experience this was. Amazing combinations of food, from incredibly cooked rib eye steak with butter and fried rice to possibly one of the best calamari steaks i have had in recent years. You need a reservation and it is a bit more pricey but is it ever all worth every dollar you spend here.

The most fun watching dinner preparation in Palm Desert. Anyone can park and walk, how about a boat excursion from the hotel lobby to the restaurant? Great food, engaging chef and friendly people. A must stop every time we are in town!

Great hidden restaurant with beautiful decor and an inviting atmosphere. Perfect for special occasions and celebrations. My experience was exceptional all around. The waitress for our group was fun and responsive to our dumb or immature jokes. She definitely made the experience more enjoyable. Our Teppanyaki not only made delicious food but was hilarious and impressive with his craft. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying the fine dining here at Mikado.

The shrimp appetizer and the green tea ice cream were the best of my life. The other items, including entree were not as good. Chef's tricks were great, tho.

Great place for special occasions ie, birthdays. Made my b-day a very happy night. The complimentary chocolate decadent cake was a nice touch. Food was very good, but you pay for the show. Well worth the price for a special night. P.S. sushi bar is amazing!!!
