Coco's Bakery - Palm Desert

This is the first time in about 3 years or so since we were at Coco's last. When we saw that it survived the pandemic, we decided to try it again. First, this restaurant has a terrible smell inside (saws, fat trap) that remains to today, and it has been for years. Too bad the owners don't want to fix the problem. Secondly, we were the only people. in the restaurant at 4:00, from the beginning to the end. Very strange. Thirdly, we... our food tastes good. My husband had a Patty Melt and it was good. I ordered a Four Cheese and Ham Melt. You'd think 4 cheeses would be four cheeses and ham. No way. It was ham, cheddar, sourdough and a light parmesan grill in the outside. It tastes good, but not what I ordered. Fourth, the restaurant just seems tired. It is quite obvious that this institution is running at a mere minimum, and it is sad. The server was an absolute doll, very sweet. She was attentive and helpful. Refills were a lot. The second star is because of her. She made the experience tolerable. I don't understand how this facility can do it. I feel there for the staff as there were no people. I hope it's better for them at different hours maybe. Some serious efforts must be made to help this place. And for heaven's sake, PLEASE fix the Stench! It can be done.

07/27/2022 15:00 I 've always enjoyed this location, the male Hispanic waiter we had was exceptional reminded me of the type of service used to get back in the '80s and '90s very articulate and pleasant always checking on us to see if we need anything wish I knew his name for this review. The produce on my burger was exceptional onions very fresh lettuce very fresh tomatoes not quite as good but still fresh. I recommend this location.

The chicken tortilla soup Spicy Asian Chicken salad are DELICIOUS! Tatiana was our server and is attentive also very kind. She should get a raise for excellence in customer service!

This is one of the best places to eat in the valley. Everyone is so friendly. Even the manager is on the floor helping and greeting all of the customers and serving coffee.

Food is great. Minute Maid orange juice. Smell of sewer across whole restaurant. Plastic in my bread that was sandwiched together. Waitress hesitated/stuttered when asked for refill: ?umm....sure? First time here. Last time here. June 8,2021 9:30 am.
