Bidra med feedbackThis is a new vegetarian hotel in Palakkad. I can assure you that they are having good south indian dishes like dosa, iddali, chappathi etc. etc. The north indian food also is above average. They have good nan, roti. The curries available in this hotel...More
Annalakshmi Grand is a recently opened hotel in the heart of Palakkad. Place looks appealing from outside and is easy to locate. Rooms are still not operational (visited in May'17). The restaurant is pretty large, well laid out & serves only vegetarian food. Decided to visit the restaurant for dinner as people were talking good about the place. My experience, to sum up, was disastrous ...probably because we tried Punjabi cuisine here. Understood from their Manager that their South Indian Thali offered during lunch is well accepted. Eight of us went for dinner on a weekday and was seated immediately. The menu has large number of items. Tomato soup was just okay. Gobi pepper fry offered as starter was quite good whereas Paneer Tikka was a disappointment. Paneer was not barbecued properly. Dum aloo ordered for main course looked and tasted like stuffed aloo. Tandoori roti was the biggest disappointment. Though the guy who took the order said they use only wheat for roti, I do not think there was any wheat in that roti....it was full of maida. After taking order for sweet lassi, we were told that they do not have curd to make lassi. My advice .... please stick to South Indian dishes at this restaurant. Do not experiment
Understand that this is recently opened and serves decent vegetarian food in Palakkad; Ample parking space; Ambiance is good; Food variety need to improve; Good only for South indian (not north indian) dishes;Their Veg thali is a value for money meal; ice cream in the desert section is good;Service need to improve

Excellent ambience . Easy access on a quite road with ample parking spaces. Staff were very friendly . Good choice of South Indian food especially dosa items This was my first visit and I would certainly go again Perhaps the staff need to be trained to be a more attentive to the etiquettes of serving.
