Food kinda ok, no veggie arancini, poor service. Basically a tourist trap. Avoid sitting here, walk around and have food in other stalls instead. We went because were part of a tour that provided lunch here but it was a disappointment. Also, table full of flies and waiters/owner didn’t care, he even said “what do you expect, we are outside and there is food”, the waitress even said “you are paying cheap price, can’t expect 5 star service”. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Vibe: 5/5 Visit a place like this is a must try! You can consume your fresh Sicilian food in the middle of the great hustle and bustle of the market. food: 5/5, Local, fresh (not deep frozen) and tasty. An extra good point for me is that they have a variety of vegetarian food. portions: 3/5, If you are hungry, multiple dishes are recommended service: 5/5, Friendly and quick prices: 5/5. Pretty affordable, especially for an experience like this. No coperto, no hidden cost, this place won't rip you off. Eating here is one of our closest Sicilian lifestyle related things you can do. Strongly recommend!

We started our day with a visit to a very nice market Ballaro, a characteristic place of Sicily, and there we found this street food place that seemed nice from the outside with a friendly staff. Unfortunately the experience turned out to be awful when after ordering just one fish and 2 stuffed eggplants, we received a check of 25€. I live in Italy myself, in Genoa which is in the North, and I am pretty much familiar with the prices. They just tried to rob us hearing us speaking English as I was with a friend who doesn't speak Italian. Awful experience! Robbers! Don't get tricked by the friendly appearance of the staff.

Se ti fermi a mangiare lungo il mercato è chiaro che non ti devi aspettare riservatezza o servizio stellato, ma lo fai perché vuoi respirare Palermo in maniera schietta. A differenza di quanto letto in molte altre recensioni, a me lo scontrino lo hanno fatto correttamente senza inventare nulla. Il cibo era buono con menzione particolare per Pane e Panelle!
