Bidra med feedbackTo start, the staff was friendly and entertaining, and our wonderful server, Leoni, was both helpful and professional with a great personality. My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection and had a delightful flavor; he really enjoyed the accompanying sauce. I ordered the butternut squash risotto with prosciutto and sage, which was excellent. We finished our meal with the Triple Sorbet topped with wild berries, and it was also very tasty. The restaurant boasts a nice selection of wines, and having a view of the bay enhanced the entire experience. Thank you again, Leoni; we wish you all the best! We dined on the spacious outdoor deck, which offered a stunning setting—definitely the best place to enjoy a meal in Paihia on a sunny spring day! The kitchen was very accommodating and prepared breakfast for us even after the breakfast service had officially ended. The food was decent, with large portions, including a generous serving of smoked salmon on the salmon hash. The only downside was that the outdoor sofas, while inviting, were wet. On a positive note, there were fish in the large tank inside, which added an interesting touch to the atmosphere.
What truly made the evening special was the staff, especially Koen, a cheerful Belgian who was both friendly and accommodating. Along with the fantastic food and service, the restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting. The cozy atmosphere, combined with attentive staff, created a welcoming environment that enhanced my overall enjoyment. In summary, my visit to Zane Grey's Restaurant left a lasting impression, thanks to the delicious Fish and Chips and the remarkable service from Koen. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. Viktor out!
Leoni was very professional and attentive to our needs. I highly recommend her as a great waitress. My guest asked another waitress for some bread, as she is accustomed to having this with her food in Switzerland but the response was that the kitchen was too busy for a slice of bread. This was the only disappointment of an otherwise outstanding dining experience
A great way to treat ourselves after our sailing adventures in the Bay of Islands! Fantastic staff We requested a seat by the aquarium, and had a lot of fun watching the fish swim by. Amazing food, our server Lisa helped suggest great dishes a wine pairing from near one of the islands we had visited earlier in the day very special. Enjoyed reading about the history at the front of the menu also. Thanks team!
