The Nugget is an ok place with a decent Cafe. I eat there occasionally on my stops in Pahrump. The food is good, but the service is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a sarcastic old lady, and sometimes you get good service. It's always a surprise at the Nugget Cafe. It's like gambling, it's the luck of the draw. However, the food is consistent.
We wanted to play Bingo with our co workers but a couple of us were a few minutes late. We were told we couldn't play or even sit in the same room as the people we came to see. The bingo ladies were incredibly rude to us and apparently our friends as well. Constantly telling them to be quiet even tho they were in a private room! It's a bingo hall not a library. They need to get over themselves.
Ate at a restaurant inside the server was lazy when I asked for napkins her statement was I bring napkins when I bring your food well already had salad which I do consider food. We were never once asked if we needed anything during the entire meal. I am assuming hanging out in the kitchen was more important since that is where all staff appeared to be. My food was ok it is all prepared and microwaved didn 't expect that. My friend and I ask for separate checks was put on one check. The person that took payment was snarky as well. On top of that we had to wait to be seated, wait to get our check, wait to pay even tho there were only about 6 8 others in the entire place.
This is mainly about the hotel. Was looking for a place to stay for about a week so i scheduled a one night stay to check it out. I regularly stay at Golden Entertainment hotels in Vegas and Laughlin and right now am a Legit member. Walked into the room and it was dated but plenty of room and well kept. Turned on the TV and the reception was snowy(was told it gets that way when cloudy) so I figured I would just use my wireless Hotspot and chromecast since the internet was slow as well. There was a sign on the wall saying you could be charged if you connect anything to the TV. The lady at the front desk pleasantly checked for me and said they do not allow that because people have broken the TV by connecting devices. Not her fault so I pleasantly said thank you for checking. First time I have seen that at a hotel. If you can charge someone for suspecting or verifying they connected a device to a TV then why not just charge the people that break the TVs. Would have given the place a good review and made it a regular place to stay but the one thing I do not like is when hotels try place restrictions on you whether valid or not so I just go the places that are the most convenient. Also, would like to be confident that the TVs will work well enough consistently. I have stayed at worst places and would go ahead and recommend if you just need a place to sleep. Otherwise, a local hotel would probably be better or even Saddle West down the road as their rooms aren't as nice but do not restrict as much. I was able to sit on a couch at Saddle West and work on my laptop a few hours while watching some YouTube videos from my Cjromecast in the background. That is the type of thing that makes my stays convenient amd comfortable. Still, my other experiences there were pretty good so do not use this review as a reason to absolutely avoid this place.
