Pahrump Nugget

The Nugget is an ok place with a decent Cafe. I eat there occasionally on my stops in Pahrump. The food is good, but the service is hit and miss. Sometimes you get a sarcastic old lady, and sometimes you get good service. It's always a surprise at the Nugget Cafe. It's like gambling, it's the luck of the draw. However, the food is consistent.

We never have much luck when it comes to gambling. As for the restaurant, the food is just adequate enough to keep you going. Every time I eat at a casino, I end up feeling unwell due to the excessive grease they use on the grills. Dishes like hamburgers, steak, eggs, and hash browns are all heavy and greasy. It's also rare to find a good cup of coffee; it either tastes stale or is over-brewed.

In addition to winning $2,000, the accommodations left much to be desired. The doors were sticky, making it noisy when people closed them. There was no fan in the bathroom, and there was a glass partition between us and the check-in staff, which meant we had to speak loudly to be heard. However, the floor staff and bartender were friendly. We booked two rooms and were charged nearly $1,200, which was clearly a mistake and took away from the overall experience. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the beautiful mountains surrounding Pahrump!

There's a sign on the wall indicating that they may charge you if you connect anything to the TV. The front desk lady kindly checked for me and explained that they don’t allow connections to the TV because some guests have damaged them in the past. I appreciated her help, though I still found it unusual. If they can charge guests for simply connecting a device, why not just charge those who actually break the TVs? I would have given the hotel a positive review and made it my regular spot, but I'm not fond of hotels imposing restrictions, regardless of whether they seem valid or not. For that reason, I tend to choose more convenient options. Additionally, I want to be confident that the TVs will work reliably. I've stayed at worse places, so I would recommend this hotel if all you need is a place to sleep. However, a local hotel might be more suitable, or even Saddle West down the road, where the rooms aren't as nice but have fewer restrictions. At Saddle West, I enjoyed working on my laptop from the couch for a few hours while watching some YouTube videos on my Chromecast in the background. That convenience and comfort significantly improve my stays. Nevertheless, my other experiences at this hotel were fairly positive, so don’t take this review as a reason to completely avoid it.

Ate at a restaurant inside the server was lazy when I asked for napkins her statement was I bring napkins when I bring your food well already had salad which I do consider food. We were never once asked if we needed anything during the entire meal. I am assuming hanging out in the kitchen was more important since that is where all staff appeared to be. My food was ok it isall prepared and microwaved didn 't expect that. My friend and I ask for separate checks was put on one check. The person thattook payment was snarky as well. On top of that we had to wait to be seated, wait to get our check, wait to pay even tho therewere only about 6 8 others in the entire place.
