Bidra med feedbackJust had a terrible lunch at The Rose. The person with the vegan sandwich thought it was OK, everyone else thought their meals very poor;. I had the goat's cheese salad which was barely edible. A pile of soggy stirfy (where was the rocket, courgette, red onion) with a slice of goat's cheese, for over £13. Poor burger and chips. Slow service. Two bad one-course meals £27.. Shocking. Never going again.
Excellent value and wonderful quality afternoon tea. Had it for lunch and it was a perfect accompaniment to a day out in Oxford
We stopped in for Brunch and received excellent service from a fantastic waiter. One of us is gluten free and the waiter really accomodated us. Good coffee and delicious food.
I went for afternoon tea at this restaurant and found it to be small and cramped. The cream tea was delicious, but the portions of jam and cream were quite small. At £12, it's quite pricey. A pot of specialty tea cost £4.50, which is on the expensive side. The toilets are downstairs and not very clean, which was disappointing. Overall, I feel that this place gets away with its high prices because of its location.
The Rose is a welcoming restaurant that serves delicious tea and scones. The service is top-notch and the interior is pleasant. While the black chai tea initially seemed weak, the staff happily provided more upon request. The scone was slightly dry, but still tasty when paired with the marmalade and clotted cream. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant.
