Bidra med feedbackI eat at the Redneck Bistro whenever I visit Calabogie. The food is great and the service is superb.
We have gone to the Redneck Bistro twice in the last month. The first time we did not have a reservation but were able to eat inside, but the second time we had a reservation but wound up eating in the Gazebo. Both visits were on weekday evenings and the place was packed. I would suggest making a reservation. The first time we each had chicken wings and a beer. One pound of excellent chicken wings and a beer was. $10.00. The snicker doodle cake was recommended and we decided to share one. Our mistake, we should have ordered two.The second time, one of us had a hamburger and the other had pickerel fish and chips. They were delicious. Because they were on special, second pieces of fish were offered at no charge. We both had local craft beers which we enjoyed very much.We will be back again and have no hesitation in recommending it
This place has everything! Great food great local beer, great service. I did not even know that you needed reservations now. Very happy the place is going so well. Only critique would be please ask the servers to stop chewing gum while working. It's a little gross.
The service here is great very efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is great...busy spot...decor matches the name but well done. The food is good, huge portions. I'll give it another try as my dinner, portebello mushroom burger wasn't my favourite.
Stoped in for breakfast with the family. Really cool decor, clean and tidy inside. Ordered our food but wasn't finished speaking and the waitress was already walking away. She seemed really busy -nobody there to help her - and as a result she seemed irritated everytime we asked for anything (utensils, condiments, etc). Breakfast took a while to arrive and when it did, the bacon was hardly cooked and the eggs semi-raw. Ick. No cream available for the coffee, only milk. Double ick. Saw a young man come in with his son for breakfast just after us and he was told "Sorry - we aren't serving breakfast anymore" as she hurried away. He looked so disappointed. There really isn't much else nearby and his little guy looked hungry. What a shame. Its a great space and has so much potential. Maybe their dinner/drinks is more of a good time? If they are going to do breakfast they really need to up their game.
