Bidra med feedbackWe went early, no one else in the restaurant for almost one hour, so the service was amazing. Then a party of about 12-15 came in it got very loud the service slowed down, we were on dessert by this time so it was okay. Overall we were very pleased with the quantity quality of the food. The restaurant is now called Inn Steakhouse Dining Lounge located in The Inn at Horseshoe Valley.
Silks restaurant no longer exists, despite the name still being advertised on the resort's entrance. We had been disappointed with the food on our previous visits this winter, but decided to give it one more try. Luckily, a new menu was introduced with more variety and better quality. My salmon dish was delicious and my partner enjoyed his pickerel. However, just as we were starting to have a better experience, we found out that the restaurant would be closed for the entire month of April. It seems like management needs to get their act together.
After many visits to Silks, we finally noticed the small lettering at the bottom of the Entree listing Weekly Vegan options available on request . As we have had many of the regular and Solstice menu items in the past, we decided to ask for the Vegan options. Looked good, so we ordered from the 3- course Vegan menu. Both the appetizers, the Chef 's Salad and the Smoked Tomato Soup were very good, although the soup was a little on the peppery side. The Quinoa Pilaf with asparagus, foraged mushrooms, vegetables and red pepper sauce was also very good, but the Stuffed Bell Pepper with wild rice, sautéed greens, peach and ginger chutney was exceptionally tasty. The Chef 's Sorbet with Drunken Berries ended the meal in style. The accompanying Hahn Pinot Noir made the meal a true delight. The service was, as always for us, exceptional! So, if you are not in the mood for meat, make sure to find or ask for their Vegan Menu, you won 't regret it. Also, the price was very reasonable.
We made reservations for the three-course BarrieLicious menu at the restaurant, now called Inn Steakhouse. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. Initially, our server seemed in a rush, but as the evening went on, she became more relaxed. We started with wine and warm buns with two delicious butter options. The menu had a good variety. My friend enjoyed the I.S.H. Luscious Salad, while I tried the Normandy Onion Soup, which needed more flavor. The entrees were good quality, with my friend having the Lemon Pepper Seared Atlantic Salmon and myself enjoying the Veal Osso Bucco. Dessert was the best part, with the Key Lime Pie being a standout. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. I did notice that many reviews mentioned the high prices, so I am curious why management has not addressed this issue.
We enjoyed our family Christmas Day dinner at 3:30 pm. The restaurant had a fantastic variety of salads, soup, and antipasto, as well as seafood platters, perfectly cooked turkey and beef, and an amazing dessert table including Cherries Jubilee. Our server was attentive and accommodating. We have visited this restaurant many times and one of the things we love is the break it gives the mothers from cooking. One small suggestion - we had trouble finding a place to hang our coats. It would be nice if the front desk could take the coats (there were 3 people there who did not seem too busy). A fine dining establishment should have a coat rack. The supervisor was discreetly asked to find a place for our coats and handled it well. We will definitely be returning. Our grandchildren love eating here because they can go skiing afterwards. We were seated under a large TV showing the available Horseshoe hills, which could have been turned off on Christmas Day.
