Bidra med feedbackAfternoon coffee and a delicious slice of homemade Victoria sponge and welcomed by the lovely bar staff made us decide to visit for our evening meals for the remaining two evenings we had to spend on the Island.Cosy bar atmosphere and welcoming staff plus freshly home made breaded fish and chips went down a treat.Wide choice on the menu for variety. Facilities are immaculately clean always a good sign .
We stopped by for a drink today but found it under renovation. This little hotel could be a sure winner if the rooms are redone so they are warm and damp free. The restaurant and bar areas could use a bit of an updating. We hope the works go well and look forward to their reopening!
Friendly atmosphere and good pub food. Nice and friendly staff. You can get food for vegetarian as well and nice local beers.
We were on Sanday for one day and searched everywhere for a cafe to no avail. We eventually tried this place that looked like a sports bar in someone's front room, with very limited opening hours during the daytime. We asked the friendly lady for two hot chocolates but then she disappeared for about 15 minutes rather odd we felt, but later found out she was also trying to run the shop nextdoor at the same time and had to keep going to and fro! It was OK when there's nowhere else to go, but not the idea of a nice tea shop we had in mind. We think Sanday is sadly missing a trick in not having a cafe. Kettletoft is also very run down and scruffy village and not at all the pretty harbourside village we were expecting!
Sarah provided excellent service for both drinks and lunch. She was accommodating and made sure the menu fit our preferences. Three of us had fish prepared in different ways, while I enjoyed the veggie burger. The restaurant had a beautiful setting and offered great value for money. They also had a good selection of local drinks.
