Bidra med feedbackWe have dined in le vieux logis about this last weekend and had a very pleasant lunch here. there are different menus of prix frix as well as an a’ la carte menu. we chose the 28-Euro menu and then had a delicious 4-short dinner, whose star was the cheese car, where we chose 5 different cheeses that were all excellent. also the note was the scallops and Leek stew (for a better word want) again it was lovely. all in all we had an acute for 91 euro. ps. the language barrier was easily overcome and they had a menu in English. worth visiting if they are in the opposite.
We often visit Le Vieux Logis and are always completely satisfied. Christmas was no exception, in fact it was great. Price/quality ratio :10, atmosphere :10, service :10, quality :10. What more can I say, highly recommended.
As regular visitors to the Chateaubriant area, my wife and I love exploring the local landscape and that usually means finding somewhere suitable to eat! On a very wet and cloudy Sunday in late October we had thought to visit a restaurant in the...village of Villepot, but at the last moment decided to travel further on the D775 towards the city of Pouance. Drive to the city we discover Le Vieux Logis Restaurant Bar. After crossing the center and identifying a few possible restaurants, we decided to return to Le Vieux Logis. With plenty of designated free parking on the street, we were able to leave the car in just a few meters from the restaurant entrance. Upon arrival we were welcomed and shown to a beautiful table for two, where once we are able to measure our surroundings. With its attractive wallpaper and irradiated ceiling, it offered a degree of inviting ambience and comfort in its time environment. A long table of maybe 15 20 diners who all seemed full in their meal time conversations were the only guests. But after we had set ourselves some 6 more diners on our own, we gradually came to couples. Our estimate would be a maximum seat capacity in the range of 40 50 covers. Service was made by a mature lady we found to be efficient and friendly and there were no noticeable waiting gaps as it can happen so often in restaurants. A number of elections were offered with a la carte and fixed price menus. We finally chose a 3 course menu at 15.50 euros per head. With a good selection of maybe 5 dishes for each course we finally decided, after some advice, on appetizers of Assiette de crudities and Salat aux lardons chauds to be followed by the main courses of faux filet grille and cotes d`agneaux grillees. Each main course is served with an assortment of seasonal vegetables. We thought the portions were generous, and the main dishes were soothing hot as the plates. The whole food was full of taste and I only met a very small piece of Gristle in my steak, which was otherwise cooked after my request. The desserts of the cream brulee were right and the meal ended with an express coffee. After we recently met a few police street blocks, we decided to practice some caution and chose only half a bottle of St. Nicholas Bourgueil Rose wine to accompany our lunch, and this served its purpose appropriately. Including a satisfaction the whole meal cost less than 50 euros, and we thought that represented excellent value for money. Finally, a rewarding selection of venues and a restaurant that we want to revise in the coming months.
Situated on the southern approach to this mediaeval fortified town,at the bottom of the hill near the river Verzée and lake which forms part of the moat is this excellent, better-quality, restaurant. There is ample parking outside and it is adviseable to book in advance....There is a good choice of menu starting at the Prix Fixé 15€, à la carte and a good wine list. It is spotlessly clean and the loos (Gents at any rate) is basic but clean. Marie-Noelle et Yannick are the friendly proprietors.
Bonne cuisine familiale, accueil chaleureux et prix vraiment très abordables. Le menu entrée-plat-dessert-vin est à 11,20€. Difficile de faire mieux.
