Bidra med feedbackI can only give this restaurant 2 stars, thanks to the excellent service, which deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat and earned just 1 star. The potatoes seemed instant, and the chicken fried steak was dry and lacked gravy. It was so tough that I could barely manage to eat it. Given the price of $25 per plate, I expected better quality and proper preparation for the items on the menu.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, which I expected from a place with such a rich tradition. The drinks were enjoyable, and while the steak was a bit undercooked and lacked seasoning for my taste, I was able to fix that with some salt and pepper. The portion sizes were excellent, especially considering the price. Overall, I'm glad I decided to dine here!
My husband ordered the Porterhouse, while I enjoyed the incredible New York Strip. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to our specifications. The crisp onion rings had a light coating that simply melted in your mouth. The Cowboy Mashed Potatoes were bursting with flavor; I found myself scraping the plate clean with my steak! The Salted Chocolate Caramel Decadence dessert lived up to its name — it was perfectly sized, with a deliciously rich cocoa flavor that wasn’t overly sweet, reminiscent of the best fudge you’ve ever had. Our server, Elizabeth, was attentive, friendly, and had a wonderful attitude. We hope to see her again on our next visit to Johnny's!
Server was super. Food was delicious. First time here that the steak hasn't been so dry it was hard to eat. Had the Geronimo, rare... cooked perfectly. Tender, juicy, flavorful. Will be back for this one!
I'll be honest: this is only the second time I have been to Johnny's. To give you an idea of how long it has been since the first time, Google wasn't even a company. It might have been timing, etc, but we got right in, and we're seated at a nicetable. Our waitress was very pleasant and kept on top of our needs despite having a very large party to take care of. I had theribeye, and my wife had the prime rib. We both opted for salad and mashed potatoes for our sides. The meat was cooked almostperfectly per our requests. The prime rib was not over flavored, like you can find at some places. My steak was good, as a pieceof beef should be. Steak sauce is available if you want to flavor. The entire meal (2 teas, entrée, and one desert) was about$80, which we do about once every three months and was worth the experience we received. I do recommend going there andenjoying a nicely prepared dinner in a beautiful setting. (This review was NOT sponsored, and all my opinion)
