Slide Mountain Forest House - Oliverea

I had a fantastic experience at your delightful Forsthaus. We couldn't have imagined a better place to spend our time in the Catskills. Forsthaus is truly a family-owned business with a generational legacy, where everyone, including the staff, was gracious and welcoming. The homemade breakfasts served in the main house and the German-inspired meals at the Bar and Grill were absolutely delicious. There was so much to do on the property, from swimming in the pristine pool to playing tennis, boating, and enjoying the bowling and game rooms, not to mention the live music at the Bar and Grill. Next time, we might take advantage of the fire pit, play cornhole, and ping pong. It was such an unexpected and fantastic experience! Plus, we were so close to the Giant Ledge and Slide Mountain trails, which were among the best hiking trails we've explored in New York. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay!

I just had another amazing stay at the Slide Mountain Forest House. I spent three days there, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything the property has to offer. The food was fantastic, the accommodations were comfortable, and the service was exceptional!

I've been there about six times and really enjoy it. It's very peaceful, scenic, and quiet, with plenty of hiking options. We have stayed in both houses and find them both to be excellent.

I have been going to Slide Mt. Forest Hose for more then fifty years, I have never been disappointed and have had nothing but a fantastic time. Thanks to all the Combes and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Scared I'll let the cat out of the bag, but this was an amazing experience and just what my family needed for the weekend. Don't change a thing!
