Bidra med feedbackLet's start with the good, decently good subs. Good quantity and quality in the ingredients used. Now for the not so good; stickler about masks and spacing although the way the restaurant is set up they have customers walking through the line to get out of the restaurant once their order is completed. Wouldn't be that way but they have tables stacked against the counter. Also the way they handle spacing people out was quite rude, if I'm in a group walk in as a group it should be obvious I am comfortable standing close to them, I'm not close to you or other customers leave me be. For over the phone orders good luck figuring out what is yours. Labeling was poor and multiple orders were wrong.
This is the best quality sub sandwich in mid-michigan. I 've been buying subs since 1984, and I 've tried a lot of places around the world. My first Excellent benchmark sub was from Intermission Deli in the Hotel Fordney in Saginaw, MI and Jersey Giant meets or exceeds that standard for both quantity, flavor, and service.
Always good sandwiches, but I was in Okemos trying to order ahead and nobody answered the phone. When I came to the Jersey giant, they were out of bread, so I called again this time when someone answered. So I asked if they baked the bread or put it out and if it were done and everything I got was an rude and sassy. I explained I was in the parking lot with my children and just wanted to see how long it would take and again simple rest. Okemos hasn't got my business anymore. I left without lunch.
Subs used to be a family favorite and now they are just a mess. Price went up, meat went down, veggies arw always nasty looking. Sometimes the staff is great and then sometimes you get a guy who for sure would rather spit on your sub then make it for you. Go in there an hour or so before they are closing and they have almost everything packed away and make you feel like they are doing you a favor getting stuff back out to make you a sub. No thanks I'll find a new sub shop.
The food is really good, though it is a bit pricey. But then again, what isn't expensive these days?
