The Fountain Inn Riverside - Okehampton

Today we had a special birthday lunch at The Fountain, and it was fabulous! Thanks to everyone who made it special for us, the food and service was excellent! ????

Fantastic beers and wonderful people! It's a lovely spot that I would highly recommend.

What a fantastic spot! I immediately fell in love with the decor. When I got to the bar, I met Alan and Lynn, who greeted me with warm smiles. As someone who's new to the area, I can confidently say that this will be my new local hangout!

After hearing positive reviews and making a reservation, we were excited to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. We were seated at the bar next to a large, noisy group and felt largely ignored throughout the evening. It took 40 minutes for someone to take our food order, and due to the commotion at the next table, the waiter misheard what I had requested. We weren't offered any desserts, and ultimately, we had to approach the bar to pay our bill, as it seemed we would have been waiting indefinitely otherwise. There was no apology for the subpar service, which left us feeling really disappointed.
