The Cafe On 26 - OCEAN VIEW

Came here for my 44th birthday and really enjoyed it. The portions were huge, great value. We started with the crab dip, which was big enough for 4. It had huge chunks of crab. The pretzel sticks weren’t the easiest to navigate with the dip but were themselves good. I had the house special potato crusted salmon. My dad had the prime rib. We both were happy. There was no room left for dessert unfortunately. Decent wine selection but beer options were limited. Would definitely recommend, especially when their outdoor patio is open.

Cannot say enough about our experience there. Quaint atmosphere, friendly informative staff and the food was 5 star!

A truly awful Valentine 's dinner.We both ordered the Shrimp Imperial. After finishing our appetizers, we waited over 35 minutes for our entrees to arrive. (In the meantime, 3 tables that arrived long after us were served. Our waitress was almost non-existent.The entree appeared to have been sitting a while (maybe under a heat lamp? But the twice baked potato was so hot it obviously had been microwaved yet the veggie was cold and hard- not even edible. The shrimp had a consistency that I have never experienced before. It may have not been cooked enough because it was stringy, chewy and basically not consumable. I love shrimp and have had it many different ways and yet I could not eat it. The crab imperial had the texture of something warmed over. At $40 for each entree, we threw our money away!As we left, I stopped to tell the hostess how disappointed we were because we have had great meals there in the past. I briefly described our meal and its failures. She offered to get the waitress. We declined because her non-presence had been part of the problem. At that point the hostess said she was sorry, told us Good Night and turned away. We had been dismissed apparently.Never again!

I had the fillet. It was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. I highly recommend it and this restaurant.

An outstanding restaurant. The food is memorable. Reservations are a must. It's very popular. Parking: Parking lot is very small, but they have overflow parking next door.
