I Discover the Lillegard around three years ago. I am addicted. This Bed and breakfast is kept impeccably clean, the fresh back breakfasts are amazing, And the owner Suzanne and Kevin are more than accommodating. Has a hand dipped ice cream parlor and his steps away from the beach. This is my favorite vacationRobinRooms: 5/5
The room we were in had two bathrooms: one with a sink and a shower and the other with a toilet and a shower. The bathroom without the toilet smelled of urine so strongly that we were unable to use it and had to keep the door closed the entire time. The shower head in the other bathroom was covered in black mold. I had to clean it before I took a shower. Luckily we were just there for one night. When we left the next morning, I let them know about all our complaints and they were very nice about it. They refunded some of our money.
It's been awhile since I have stayed here, but so happy to be back. They simply think of everything from making sure the Kuerig is always fully stocked to having a bucket out front with clean water (they seem to empty and fill it often throughout the day) to rinse sand off your feet before entering. The room (Ocean View room) was very clean with a great ocean view and ocean sound. Highly recommend and already booking another trip or two during the next few weekA!
Oh to be near the sea! This inn is less than a block to the beach and they sell beach passes (bought them on arrival, be sure to bring cash! . The walk was easy. The view from the upper deck is incredible! I enjoyed the proximity, view and convenience of the location. I walked to Asbury for dinner and then to Bradley Beach in the morning to walk the promenade! The room was comfortable (fan ad air conditioning for one person and the bed was fine. Having the small bathroom in the room was great. I liked the hooks they provided in the room to hang clothes and my bag. The only problem I had was I didn't know the keypad combination (it was in an obvious place but I wasn't told and I stood on the deck (wanting my shower after my brisk morning walk; finally a guest let me in! The breakfast was nicely presented and plentiful. This is a lovlely little inn. I think I may return.
