Diner On The Square - Ocala

Cute little diner. The food was down home cooking and amazing! I will definitely be back.Parking: Tight corner spot limit parking lot parking. No biggie go right up the street and first right you can park there, well let me say this I did, I don't know if you really can lol

The food was good, the place is clean, and the peopleare friendly. They were not overly busy for a Sunday breakfast. There weren't many waitresses to cover the amountof peoplethey had.I had corned beef hash and eggs with a side of hash browns and a side of sausage patties. They charge to crisp your corned beef hash. Which is something I'm not accustomed to. The eggs were runny, but the hash browns were excellent. The prices were fair and the place was clean. I recommend stopping in for breakfast if you're in Ocala.Parking: The parking lot is tight. The parking wraps around the building.

Driving by, I saw the advertisement for their biscuits gravy so I had to stop in, I was on my way to eat somewhere else.Had the Tennessee omelet with a biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was delicious and the gravy was perfect.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.

However, on our most recent visit, the staff approached our table rudely, insisting that I needed to get permission for my sister to stay. Confused, we both asked, "What are you talking about?" It turned out that we were accused—yes, both of us—of stealing a bowl full of butter, which was an outright lie. This accusation left my sister in tears, and I was furious, even considering a defamation lawsuit against them but ultimately decided to let it go. There are plenty of other places to eat that offer better quality food and service. It’s ridiculous for them to lose two regular customers over three creamers that my sister simply intended to use on her biscuit. Ever since they changed ownership, the quality has noticeably declined. If I could rate them negatively, I certainly would.
