Taqueria La Venganza - Oakland

This was the worst meal I've attempted to eat in a long time. Everything was fried to the point where it felt like trying to chew on old tree bark—seriously hard and difficult to eat. On top of that, it was drenched in excessive oil. It was truly disappointing.

The Town Sampler was amazing! There was so much food, it could easily feed two people. The fried corn ribs were the highlight of the dish. I believe if the chicken breast had also been battered and fried, it would have been the best vegan fried chicken out there. The shrimp in both the Town Sampler and the Twamp Monster were incredibly juicy and packed with flavor.

The majority of the "fish" was just the fried exterior, and it was somewhat dry. Additionally, it was cold when I received it. However, the fries were decent.

You cannot go wrong here. The crew is amazing their food *never misses*. This is a vegan taqueria household. 10/10
