Wow, what great sushi! Fresh and delicious! Nice atmosphere and wonderful assortment of food.

Wasabi Cafe serves the best sushi in Fort Lauderdale. The flavor, appearance and texture of their fish are all unbeatable. The service is great. I have been a long-time customer since they were the Japanese Fish Market and continue to enjoy their sushi frequently.

The atmosphere was surprisingly good, very relaxing. This is a nice restaurant to be in, interesting details, appropriate and not too loud music. It also appears to be very clean which is so important in restaurants. The menu has many interesting options and the sushi rolls are actually bite sized (a good thing to not have to bite into the middle of a piece because it is too big to fit in your mouth), but there were a few things I didn 't like too much. The veg sushi had such small pieces of vegetables in it that it was hard to taste them. The fish sushi rolls were ok, but the chicken wings weren 't very good and the salad with ;mixed greens ; was romaine with shredded carrots and one piece of tomato. On the plus side, the lettuce was healthy, didn 't have brown edges or that funky smell from being too old that many restaurant salads have. Second, the waitress went from being very welcoming and nice to being rather cold immediately upon handing her payment which left a bad taste in my mouth. It 's not that I expect genuine pleasantness in a restaurant (the fake kind will do), but to make it so obvious that once a table has paid that you couldn 't care less is bad service. So I might try eating here again just to try one or two other things on the menu or if I wanted the atmosphere, but not if it was to satisfy a sushi craving.
