Tucherhof - Nürnberg

It is very nice place to spend some hours with your friends drinking local beer and eating local specialties. Is near the Airport, so little far from the city center !

Great place just a short u bahn ride to the north of the city. It's a ten minute walk from there. There's even a local bus that will drop you at the door. Choose the self or full service section of the garden and enjoy.

First to note, this review is based on the beergarden and not the inside of the restaurant. The location of the restuarant is quite nice, close to the huge Marienbergpark which is full of people on a nice weather. The beergarden is very large, divided...into two parts: one with service and one with self-service. We were on the service side, but still it took a while to get the wishes through. The food was ok, but maybe not fully worth the price, as is the case with the beer, too. (Ok, I'm not personally such a big fan of the Tucherer beer they're serving there. It seems that there's quite much music program available in the evenings. So, overall, some pros and some cons.

Tucherhof used to have the most dismal service. That has subsequently changed. We were pleasantly suprised when we returned last week for a visit after nearly a year. Fantastic service and food. Well done for the improvement. This time round food and service was good.

Langjährig gab es dort einwandfreie Schäuferle und Schnitzel, klassisch deutsche Küche. Seit dem Pächterwechsel vor über einem Jahr hat sich Service und Küche deutlich verschlechtert. Wir haben es seither mehrfach beim Personal angesprochen, wenn was nicht in Ordnung war ... scheinbar ohne Erfolg, denn wir haben jetzt erst wieder einen Versuch gestartet ... und wurden wieder enttäuscht. Schnitzel lappig, Kartoffelsalat war überwürzt und breiig. Tagessuppe war auch überwürzt und Brot gab es trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage erst, als die Suppe schon gegessen war. Der Service war insgesamt unaufmerksam im Bedienbereich ... fast mit einem gewissen Hang zur Arroganz.
