I booked this restaurant for my parents' anniversary party and it could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everyone enjoyed the hot buffet food. The pub is charming and despite being in the countryside, it is easily accessible from the A303. Thank you for all the effort you put into making it a special day for them. After an op and enforced isolation for over 3 weeks, a visit to The Lion (a treat from my family) was my first venture out. Boy was it good. I don't eat meat and I'm not really keen on meat loaf and the alternatives so the chef just cooked me veg, a Yorkshire and gravy and it was amazing. Crowded around the bar that prevented people getting in and getting to the bar, very loud too. Would not have taken much to get people to move over and keep the noise down! Shame as otherwise a great place Price per person: £10–20 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
