Country Kitchen - Nowatney

A buffet style restaurant with fairly wide selection of foods. A little weird eating here but I would try it again.

Delicious buffet style comfort/soul food We’ve been in the area for about 6 months and this was hands down the best meal we’ve had in Louisiana! The catfish, cornbread dressing, collard greens, Lima beans, chicken and dumplings, and the apple crunch were some of the best we’ve ever had. The fried chicken was perfect juicy inside and super crispy outside. The banana pudding was amazing. Every single dish was so good. Don’t even get me started on the rum sauce! I guess it was for the bread pudding but the lady said I could put it on anything so I also put it on my peach cobbler and apple crunch omg it was so delish. They also had a great salad bar but I had no room for that. It’s only $8 I think if you just want that but don’t look at the other food or you’re toast. The all you can eat buffet is only $12.99 and that is a steal. This will be our go to Sunday lunch from now on. (Post COVID Buffet style is being served anything you want, unlimited amounts)

Cafateria style restaurant, with good ol' southern style cooking. Great desserts as well. Well worth the stop.

This is a good place to go to if you enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and good home cooking. Lots of antiques to look at and even some for sale.

Love this place for homestyle cooking. Great variety. Owners and staff very friendly. This is the place to come to feel at home.
