Red Lion - Norwich

From the moment I went through the door, I could say that the experience was a good one. I was greeted by elle who gave me a very warm greeting, professional and friendly, a sweet young lady in the did. She went the extra mile to give me a great place at the river, exactly where I love to eat. wow, absolutely blown away! the size of the portion was definitiw a bubble filler. well balanced with juicy meat and perfectly cooked vegetables. if they are a yorkshire pudding lover, then they will love them. even the mince sauce was made to house. presentation gave the impression of a well-trained chef and after eating I can assure them that the cheftal talents shine in his eating. the device is itself, is clean well furnished and has fantastic flow-side seating areas outside. finally. the toilets, this is very important to me, I can confirm that they are clean and well maintained. many thanks to all staff for their hospitality and for a good meal. quite obviously a very well managed pub.

We will definitely be returning to eat at The Red Lion again! The new restaurant is charming, with fantastic decor, delicious coffee, and friendly, attentive staff. We enjoyed sitting outside by the river, overlooking the historic Lollards Pit and the site of the Wart Rebellion camp, making for a memorable dining experience.

I recently visited in April 2022 and found that the positive aspects of the restaurant, such as the outdoor space, good service, and convenient parking, remain consistent. The interior decor is still lovely and there is a good selection of alcohol-free beers available. My only criticism would be regarding the menu, as there are limited options for those looking for healthier or lighter fare. A salad option, especially in warm weather, would be a welcome addition. I tried to create my own salad with the veggie grazing board and seasonal greens, but it was not very successful. My mother-in-law lives nearby and would appreciate simpler options like baked potatoes for lunch. Overall, I think the restaurant could improve by offering more variety in its menu.

The staff were so friendly and their timing amazing. The food was fresh and perfectly balanced in flavours and textures... Don't even get me started on their desserts....A Must if want fresh wholesome interesting food and the best service...

Amazing pub with water views and great food. Large car park and lots of outdoor seating. Table service currently. Toilet lids falling on you are a problem in the ladies!
