We love this independent little garden centre. The plant selection is varied and often locally grown. The staff are informative and friendly, the 'gift shop ' doesn 't sell the kind of tat you see everywhere. They also have a range of locally handmade quality sheds not those flimsy ones and other wooden garden accessories like some beautiful auricula theatres, very unusual and good to see local businesses supporting other local businesses. The cafe has been recently refurbished and is spacious with seating inside and out. More vegan options on the menu would be very welcome though please.
With the whole pandemic situation, they've expanded the outside eating area which is great. The cakes here are always amazing home baked and fresh. The scones are particularly tasty and are delivered in a little basket with the cream and jam, which is utterly charming.
I only have experience of the coffee shop. This week they are only serving cake, scones and hot drinks as the kitchen is closed due to refurbishment. However the staff are friendly and the scone with jam and cream served in a basket was delicious. In particular the scone was melt in your mouth crumbly… yum.
Lovely cafe, tables well spaced out, food fantastic especially the soup arrived hot, hot. Garden centre is like a tardis looks small from the road but it isn't.
