Spoleto - Northampton

Spoleto was a real disappointment to me this evening. I ordered the cod. Four small pieces of cod came on a bed of tomato paste with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were watery and spread out to look like a large portion. The braised greens probablywere the best. They were simple greens sauteed in olive oil and garlic. While they were a small portion, still that portionwas larger than the fish which might have weighed 3-4 oz. at the most. The cost of this was $26.00. The server wasprofessional and did everything well. If you are hungry and looking for good food, there are several places in Northamptonwhere you can sit outside, bring a bottle of wine, and enjoy fabulous food for half the price.

Nice outdoor dining (could use a little more lighting) They have fireplace tables. The menu is a small selection of Italian food and lots of drinks. However, the food was excellent! A nice place for a romantic dinner.

I don't usually write reviews, but I have to say I've never met a better server than Abby. She is AMAZING! So kind, so intelligent, so thoughtful, and incredibly skilled. Thank you for making our night wonderful. We especially appreciate how caring you were towards our blind elderly dog. You're the best!

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant since it has a long history. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations based on the reviews. The service was just okay, and the quality of the food didn’t justify the price. I've had better Italian food at lower prices! I wouldn’t choose to return to this restaurant. However, they do have a great drinks menu, so it could be a nice spot to enjoy some drinks.
