Bidra med feedbackWe hosted a brunch for 35 people at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We definitely plan on dining here again.
After moving away from the area four years ago, I was excited to have dinner at one of my favorite restaurants again. I was not disappointed. My favorite dish there is actually an appetizer - the roasted green Chile strips with dipping sauce. My husband really enjoyed the bovine enchiladas he ordered. I think their margaritas would be better if they used Jose Cuervo Mix and Silver Tequila. They also have a good range of options for breakfast and lunch.
After shopping at the store next door, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant. It wasn't crowded, but there were people at many tables. There seemed to be only one waiter who was quite overwhelmed most of the time. My wife ordered the Zucchini Pasta with sauce, and I ordered an omelet with salmon and onions. Despite the delay in taking our orders, the food arrived quickly. It was satisfactory, but on the pricey side. Our bill came to $45 with taxes and a small tip, which seemed expensive for two eggs, some Lox, and Zucchini Pasta. It had been a while since we last visited Milk 'Honey, and now we understand why.
We were there for lunch, with some food restrictions. I had a 'French onion soup' that seemed thickened with starch (to be a milk restaurant, they could 't use a beef broth) and it would have been nice to use the occasional onion in...it. I went to a Greek salad; the vegetables were fresh and delicious, but the only similarity to a Greek salad was the feta cheese. The single server was occupied by a large table near us, and we had to ask several times for more coffee etc. It is kosher, which is why our companion has picked it up, but there must be better opportunities nearby.
Ordered several dishes for our family online for curbside take out. Very accommodating and gracious owner had everything ready on time and even saved me a parking spot! The pizzas were excellent- better than any authentic Italian restaurant, and the other dishes we ordered were...equally fresh and delicious. I cannot answer all the review questions that are posed, as I have never been inside, but judging by the owner's demeanour and the careful manner in which the dishes were packaged and sealed, I surmise that the restaurant is clean and that they are following the appropriate protocols. When the owner came out to put the items in my trunk, he was wearing a face mask, so I would gather the staff are following proper procedures. We are all vegetarian so this restaurant is perfect for us and we will definitely be back.
