Charming spot with Instagram-worthy decor. Their specialties appear to be milk teas and fruit teas. We tried a mango smoothie, kumquat lemonade, and passion fruit tea. The lemonade was very tart, even with 70% sugar added. The mango smoothie was tasty, and the passion fruit drink was delightful. The service was efficient, the wait time was reasonable, and the prices were fair.

The Taro Milk was excellent; it had a rich, creamy texture and was made with real taro that had just the right amount of sweetness, perfectly complementing the milk! The Golden Tapioca Milk Tea was also delightful, with chewy tapioca pearls and a wonderful richness in both the milk and tea!

I ordered the Golden Tapioca and Taro Ball milk tea, 0% sugar, less ice.The taro ball at Hey Sugar is really good I could taste the taro and there was a good mouth feel/chewiness. The milk tea was a little tasteless. Maybe this had something to do with my zero sugar choice, but I wish there was a stronger tea taste.My sister ordered the Black Sesame Milk Tea (with Taro Ball and Purple Rice) and that was really good; the sesame flavour made up for the lack of taste in the milk tea.Overall, I'd come back again and get more of the taro balls, though I think I'll get something other than milk tea in the future.
