Excellent food, great choice, beautiful service. unfortunately not on the coast, but the loss of the intentionally worth.
The cafe formerly known as Number 14 has undergone a change in ownership and is now called Number 14. While the quality remains high, the dining experience has shifted significantly.
Seven of us visited this restaurant for afternoon tea to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday, and it was a wonderful treat. We enjoyed freshly made sandwiches with a variety of fillings, delicious scones with cream and jam, and tasty cakes. Our teapot was promptly refilled before we even had to ask, and the service was excellent. The food was served on beautiful bone china, which my mother particularly enjoyed. We felt very welcome and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
During the time between Christmas and New Year's, I visited the Country House Tea Room in Tynemouth. The staff was friendly and seated us at our table. I enjoyed a coffee and a delicious cheese scone, which made for a delightful break. I would definitely come back again.
