Bidra med feedbackHave been coming to this cafe which is situated on the premises of the Sheringham Theatre. Always very clean and the food always hot or as you order . The recent renovations make it an envelope nicer place with the same friendly staff.
We popped in here looking for a light lunch. Unfortunately we chose a Thursday lunchtime and apparently they don't do sandwiches on Thursdays (it is run by volunteers so fair enough I suppose). We decided to stay as the weather was horrible and most other eating places were full. From the limited menu we chose a cheese scone and a sausage roll. Not very exciting but decent quality. Friendly staff and with hot drinks, the bill was reasonable. Would probably give it another go, but not on a Thursday
We decided to have a light lunch here because the tables were well spaced out (02/07/22). Everything was made fresh I had a vegan cheese sandwich, and my partner had a ham sandwich. Both had side salad, salted crisps and coleslaw (mine was a vegan version). It cost just under £20 with drinks quite pricey but up North you'd just get a sandwich minus trimmings and it'd be cheaper. It's run by volunteers within the theatre, so a little bit extra helps.
Right in the centre of Sheringham and run mainly by volunteers. I had a sausage roll and a coffee, both of which were fine. I did feel rather squashed in as the tables are really close together and there was no social distancing which made me slightly uncomfortable. Clean toilets but very strangely set out and the cubicle I used was so small the door almost hit the toilet bowl.
Went there on a wet and windy summer's day! Had two jacket potatoes, absolutely wonderful, fluffy and obviouly not done in a microwave! Just one little tip, could the chef do something more adventurous than cheese and onion jacket potatoes as a special, the last chef used to do camembert and brie, so lovely, do miss that! However, everything is lovely and so reasonable, keep it up, all the volunteers are so friendly and helpful!
