Bidra med feedbackThe server at the restaurant may not have been overly enthusiastic, but he did accommodate my request to add mushrooms to my veggie haggis. I tried a bite of my son's veggie haggis and found it to be delicious and flavorful. The veggie sausages, which are served at this vegan/vegetarian restaurant, were the best I have ever had, and the mushrooms were perfectly cooked. The breakfast also included a flavorful tomato and herb dish, homemade beans, toast, and eggs cooked to your liking. The restaurant appeared to be family-friendly, as there were several children present during our visit. While the ambiance was lacking, we visited early in the morning and noted that there was not a lot of... (the rest of the review is cut off)
Hendersons was on my list to try before we moved to the city, and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the vegetarian fish and chips (grilled halloumi replacing the fish, sweet potato chips) with a cream and greens dip, while my partner had the veg haggis. Both dishes were excellent, but I especially loved mine. I will definitely try their vegan menu next time, as the prices were around 25 gbp for two mains. The pros of dining at hendersons include creative and delicious food, a wide range of options for all dietary preferences, comfortable seating, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The decor is neat and inviting, making it a great spot for a family meal on the weekend.
Great place for a fast, tasty, healthy lunch in the middle of the week. beautiful atmosphere with lots of space for meeting, or groups / families. hot meal times are always varied, the salads are delicious, and there are always several vegan options. brot is freshly baked daily and is really good! try the cake!
Get them henderson for some finger levelin' worthy salate. they get a selection of sizes for their salad, but I get 3 different types. tasted, healthy and stacked, what I like! their traybakes are also quite good. they were so delicious I had eaten it before I even made a photo!
I first visited Henderson's only a year ago, when I was in Edinburgh staying with relatives (I hail from Western Australia), but I was taken with it from the first bite. It's really everything I could want in a casual restaurant: it isn't pretentious; it has a great variety of food to choose from; and it's all vegetarian I come to Henderson's whenever I can, and have pushed my family to head there multiple times on trips to Scotland.
