Chilli Banana Unique Sandwich

After much consideration, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience at a café in Hitchin. My mother, who was battling cancer last year, had recommended this café for its delicious breakfast. We finally had the opportunity to visit together recently. Despite a slight wait for a table, we were eventually seated by a young waitress who took our drink order promptly. However, we noticed a large table behind us received their food before us, even though we had ordered first. The service continued to be frustrating as our order seemed to be misplaced multiple times. Just as we were finishing our meal, a staff member rudely demanded that we leave as they needed the table back. This confrontation left us feeling shocked and upset, especially when we were presented with a bill that did not include our breakfast. The lack of apology or explanation for their behavior was unacceptable. I hope that this review serves as a reminder for the staff to treat customers with respect in the future. Our celebration was unfortunately overshadowed by this unpleasant experience.

I had a fantastic sandwich at this charming restaurant located in the heart of historic Hitchin. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was clean. I highly recommend a visit! Thank you!

The service at this restaurant is consistently excellent. I was surprised to see someone complaining about negative comments towards Eastern Europeans, as I have never witnessed this during all my visits. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly. I am excited for my next visit!

Chilli B’s is absolutely the best place to eat in Hitchin. The menu is fantastic with so much choice. Today I had a breakfast of scrambled eggs, avocado, mushrooms and smoked salmon with added black pudding. I actually contemplated sitting there for an extra couple of hours with some tea and staying for lunch if my metered parking hadn’t been due I probably would have done! All the staff are kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Please disregard any negative reviews as there is nothing but good things to be said about it. I highly recommend everything about this place, it’s warm, beautifully decorated and the food is delicious.

Was hooked from my first visit here. Best sandwiches in the whole of Hertfordshire in my opinion. A wide selection of fresh and tasty ingredients, great bread/rolls and lots of nice additions like the local baked goods and Karma drinks for example. Staff are really friendly and helpful and take care in the preparation of food.
