Loro In Aust - North Browning

Fantastic spot, we’re not local so we definitely wanted to try something we couldn’t get in our hometown and this fit the ticket. Chill vibe, outside is dog-friendly, menu is short and sweet and the items we had were cooked and seasoned to perfection. (Pork belly rice bowl and chicken sandwich, started with wonton chips).

Loro is bar order, non-service, food joint that's set up like tapas. (Grrr) Because they want you to eat tapas style it's really not inexpensive, the portions are small, and for the beer garden style setup they have it really should be cheaper. The food presents itself as really classy and good ... but I got the salmon and it was definitely overcooked and way too sweet with the sauce that came with it. Wasn't particularly impressed with the price/quality ratio of any of the food. Had two meat entrees and three of the side/appetizers. My recommendation to the business: Either make the food at higher quality, not just presentation and plating, or lower the price.

Sometimes ive felt slightly scammed by the quantity of meat in the rice bowls. Have to post today with my appreciation for the quantity in today's bowl. Hit the spot! Thank you! This bowl slaps. Along with the brisket! Second suggestion: Creme Brule is my fav. What i don't get is why it's not gluten free here when it is everywhere else.

Great vibes, amazing food. Went with a couple of friends and we had some young kids with us. The seating was comfortable and kid friendly. Not your traditional bbq place but was a great experience and all the dishes we ordered were really good. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in Austin.

Loro is a very casual, self-ordering on-bar kinda restaurant, and I love it for that. I keep coming back to Loro, although it is a pretty long drive from my home. On our usual order are always chicken karaage, corn fritters, sesame noodles, and oak smoked beef brisket sandwiches. All in all, this place is a very good restaurant you can't miss when visiting Austin. I was also in Domain the other day and saw that we are opening a location there, so I am excited about that!
