Black Eye Coffee - North Adelaide

This place is beautiful and I love to come here to repair my coffee! I am very happy to live in places so that my visits in these days are more common! the coffee is great and if she prefers her coffee a bit hotter. good right...this place gets it right when I was! I don't even have to ask her to make it hotter (over 60 65 degrees, this is not the hot! oh and they don't burn the milk when it makes perfect. at 70 75 degrees, I would say, thank you. team for the best there is on o’connell street love the black thema!

Venue has a nice vibe and quick service, but on each of the three times during the last week that I've ordered the same thing, it hasn't been what I asked for, and I'm not going back.  Servers appear young and inexperienced, and have poor interaction with the customer.  I asked for a green juice, no lemon or lime and extra ginger.  In each case I'm not sure there was actually any ginger in it at all!  Couldn't taste any.  Today's juice was so sweet it was undrinkable (clearly very heavy on the apple).  I'll be driving further out of my way to go somewhere else from now on.

Service with a smile but very slow, with half of our orders forgotten. Cheap, but the coffee and food weren't great. Probably wouldn't come back.

Black Eye Coffee is a whole in the wall venue that offers cafe & bar fare. It was open today (New Year's Day) so we though we'd give it a try. The location is great - central Adelaide Nth right on the main road - and while seating inside is limited there's a number of tables outside under a pretty veranda. The cake and breakfast selection looked good - including pancakes - but nothing that stood out for coeliacs (although didn't ask as just after a coffee). The coffee was served quickly despite only having a skeleton crew on deck. The taste wasn't quiet there - but let me joyously caffeinated so that's the main thing! Excellent service with a smile. ☺
