Piato Wood Fire Deli

We decided to share the Bread Olives Board, which was advertised to include grilled sourdough, ciabatta, baguette, stuffed green olives, roast mixed olives, and olive tapenade. However, when our order arrived, the roast mixed olives and tapenade were missing. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she checked with the kitchen and returned to inform me that they had substituted a sautéed mix of olives and capsicum instead. I was disappointed; if an item is unavailable, it should be up to the customer, who is paying, to decide whether to order something else or accept a substitution. Not wanting what was offered, the waitress went to speak with the chef. A man who seemed to be the owner approached our table and asked if we would be okay with a dip. We agreed on hummus, which was quite delicious. The main courses took an unexpectedly long time to arrive, despite the restaurant not being full. When they finally came, I received my beetroot ravioli and a side of fries with aioli, while my husband's pizza was still on its way. I told the waitress that I couldn't eat my meal until my husband's arrived, as it would be rude and my ravioli would get cold and hard. I requested that she take it back and bring it out when the pizza was ready. When the pizza finally arrived shortly after, the same man who had spoken to us earlier apologized but explained that the pasta and pizza are prepared in different sections, making it impossible for them to be served at the same time. I found this reasoning unsatisfactory; many restaurants manage to deliver dishes together through better time management. It’s unclear whether they lack sufficient cooks or waitstaff, but issues with timing and slow service are evident here. That said, the ravioli was delightful, with a lovely flavor that wasn’t too strong. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pizza, praising the light and airy dough. Would we return? Probably, yes, since the food is genuinely good. However, we will ensure that next time we receive exactly what we order, and I hope they improve their wait times.

Amazing Restaurant! I've visited several Mediterranean restaurants, and this one ranks among the finest. The quality of the pizza and meat platters rivals that of upscale dining, yet without breaking the bank. Plus, the decor is lovely, and the chairs are incredibly comfortable! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend everyone to check it out.
