Bidra med feedbackFantastic Restaurant! I’ve been to a few Mediterranean restaurants in my time and this one is among the very best. The quality of the pizza and meat platters is at the level of high end restaurants, without the hit to your wallet. Not to mention the beautiful fit out and super comfy chairs! Will be returning and recommend all to give it a try.
The food here is really tasty but unfortunately it is let down by other issues. I had a lovely glass of wine and hubby ordered an Italian beer off the menu which he was advised was unavailable, so he ordered a Peroni. We ordered the Bread Olives Board to share which was on the menu as including: grilled sourdough, ciabatta, baguette with stuffed green olives, roast mixed olives and olive tapenade. Unfortunately neither the roast mixed olives nor the tapenade was actually in the dish. When I queried this with the waitress she checked with the kitchen and returned to advise that they didn't have any roast mixed olives or olive tapenade, so the chef had just substituted some kind of olive and capsicum sautee mix instead. I wasn't happy, if an item isn't available then it should be the customer's decision who are the one's paying after all to either order something else or to accept the substitution. I definitely didn't want what was given to us so the waitress went to speak to the chef. A man came to the table who I think may have been the owner and asked if some sort of dip would be acceptable. We settled on the hummus which was really delicious. The mains took quite a while to arrive which was surprising as the restaurant wasn’t full. When they did arrive, it was our side plate of fries and aoli and also my order the beetroot ravioli. The waitress advised that the pizza that my husband had ordered would still be a while. I said that it I could not eat my meal until my husband’s arrived as it is rude and if it was left at the table it would go cold and the ravioli would get hard so I asked her to take it away and bring it back when my husband's pizza arrived. When the pizza did arrive which was not long after so I don’t understand why we were told it would be a while, the same man came up and apologised but said that the pasta was cooked by a different section to the pizza so they are not able to be at the table together. I don’t agree as this is really just poor time management as other restaurants manage this quite well. I don't know whether they don't have enough cooks or wait staff or whatever it is, but time management and slow service are definitely an issue here. The ravioli was delicious, lovely flavour without being too overpowering. My husband really enjoyed his pizza, he said the dough was lovely and light. So, would we go back again? Yes, probably, as the food is really nice, but we would ensure that what we ordered is what we actually get next time, and I hope that the wait times are improved :
