Pancake House - Niles

Went there before the quarantine with my daughter since it's the closest that offers those fluffy Japanese pancakes, and she was waiting for a few weeks then to try it. was told that there was a wait for the them. It was okay, so we waited. A few customers came in 5-15 mins after us, apparently, they ordered the pancakes as well, we didn't know that at first but my daughter called my attention 45 mins into waiting for those blasted pancakes, I saw the last 2 bites of the other table that came in more than 5 mins after us, called the attention of the manager, who gave a lame excuse saying they came in first, bah!!! Even of they opened the cctv footage, they'd know who came in first. We actually lost our appetite coz the food came in after an hour. Then I ask for the bill, took 10 mins to get it, paid using GCASH, was told to wait, took 20 mins and shoulder ache from raising my hands constantly trying to call their attention.

• Great customer service • It's nice that it was open already that early (7:30 AM), it was really for breakfasts • Hopefully, we have a choice to make the iced tea into hot chocolate/coffee since we ordered during breakfast hours • Food was delicious, kinda pricey

The first official food trend of 2020 has to be Japanese Souffle Pancakes. These jiggly and fluffy treat is now in several stores, including five of Pancake House’s locations. For just Php 150, you can have a mini version of a pancake, souffle style. I find it decent but can still improve on texture, as it’s too soft and creamy. If you want to have it with varied taste, add Php 50 only for a fruit topping. Fresh mango for me over blueberries from the can.

The staff were just all behind the counter chitchatting away when there was a full house of customers waiting to be served, for their bill, for water, etc. It took them 20 minutes to give our bill. How inefficient.

It took us 10 minutes to get seated. It took another 30 mins for our orders to arrive. Frustrating too because not all of the staff were friendly.
