Bidra med feedbackWe had the tasting menu and my personal favorites among the courses were the eggplant velouté, foie gras, iberico and chocolate textures. The place looks exquisite and the service is excellent. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Had the tasting menu with iberico as main. Loved all the dishes. My companion had the duck for main but it was forgettable compared to the iberico. Great work!
Tried out the tasting menu. Loooved the foie gras tart, uni risotto, and the corn veloute. I wish the duck magret were indeed less chewy, and the first two courses were not really memorable. Also, the downtime between some of the courses were too long so I feel like I could have enjoyed the continuity between courses and their flavours more. Still praiseworthy and promising, would love to come back and try the a la carte.
First time as a Fam at Metronome and we enjoyed the food and the service. Not an expert, but we all agreed this is possibly the most genuinely ‘French’ meals we’ve had! My wife had the regular Sampler and I had the Vegetarian one. My son and daughter had scallops, egg, foie gras to start and both had the lamb for their mains. Each dish was really well executed and the samplers turned out too just right quantity even if you are hungry!
The place is absolutely stunning. I'd say it's the most aesthetically pleasing (even if I cringe at that term) restaurant I've ever been to in Manila. Though all tables were filled when I dined there, it didn't feel at all cramped or noisy. But the ambiance wasn't too stiff or pretentious either just right for special occasions. Our group of 4 enjoyed around 7 small plates to share and 1 main dish each, as recommended by our waiter. The small plates were divine, especially the salad, the one with asparagus and the sort of ceviche (sorry I don’t recall the actual names). We were afraid we would find ourselves still hungry after the meal, but our fears were put to rest once they served our mains. Everything was fairly portioned and each served with a side of the smoothest mashed potatoes. I very much enjoyed the iberico, and everyone else seemed happy with their dishes. But we all agreed that the small plates tasted more impressive. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience dining in Metronome. I don’t usually desire to return to fine dining establishments because there’s always a new one to try, but this time I think it’s worth coming back to.
