Bidra med feedbackWe went there for a birthday dinner. The food was ok but the beer was warm, the soft drinks were flat and the cutlery that was put on the table was forks only so we still needed to get our own. I don't expect high quality food but it was good and fresh
If you're hungry and don't care about fine dining, this is the place for you. I can never argue against a cheap buffet, with awesome salad, mains and desert. Dad described it as a pig's trough, which was hilarious.
I don’t think we have a Sizzler back home. If we do I’ve never been there before, so a new eatery experience for me. It was a Saturday night and the night before mother’s day here in Australia, so myself, Lee, his sister (Abbie) and her partner (Harley) took, took Lees mum (Angie) out for dinner, to celebrate said mother’s day.LocationSizzler is a chain of restaurants; this particular branch was in Ipswich and even though it was stupidly busy there was still ample parking.Food QualityBoth Lee, and I had the salad bar. It sounds a little dull, but when you see the salad bar spread its impressive, tons, I mean tons of different mixes of salads and pasta salads, tons of tasty little extras such as crispy potato skins, salad garnishes and a spread of all the things to make the most amazing tacos. Not forgetting the massive array of fresh fruits and desserts available. There were bread and butter pudding, apple crumble, chocolate mousse and ice-cream with an array of toppings. The best part is that you can go up as much as you like for the savoury and desserts. The food way obviously mass produced, but it did taste good also.Value for MoneyFor our meals, it was $25.95 each. That’s about £15 pounds, about the same at home for a similar restaurant. It could become a little pricey though as some of the meals range up to $40 but I don’t think you need a large meal with the salad bar, it would be a waste of money in my eyes.AtmosphereThe place was heaving; we waited in the line for a good fifteen minutes before we were seated. But even though they were busy, they were turning the tables over quite quickly, and I would say within an hour or so, the crowds had died down, and it was quite empty. The staff was friendly enough but to be honest, we didn’t interact with them much as we just served ourselves.
Sizzlers is one of those places we have gone to when you want a big big feed. You can buy the salad bar option and fill yourself up to your hearts content, but in this there is no meat to choose from etc, although soup and desert is offered. It's okay.
Personally they didn't really give me enough cheese toast (only 1 slice), but luckily it's complimentary and can ask for as much as you want but they should be giving out more if it's free..The food was good, the potato bake could be a bit better, also could consider keeping the hot deserts a little bit warmer.Had a little trouble getting out the dressing from the bottle; they should keep the pasta sauces together, the Alfredo was near the soups instead of it being next to the pasta and blognaise. Also they should keep an eye on the levels on the food a bit better as I had to ask them for more custard.TBH it will make a bit more sense to have the drinks in the salad bar price instead of having to buy them extra. But you never get out feeling hungry when you come here...The pumpkin soup is tasty.
