Bidra med feedback3.5 good food with a lot of taste and variety. the service was good, but wait was ridiculous. the waiter was kind, but could not really answer some diet questions that we had, which is quite a thing. we ordered dereé and net separated, and for a night that was not busy, it was a sweat that was almost an hour for the netzen out and half an hour for the entreé. In addition, I recommend the delicious traditional set and the unique north signature set with a complementary Nepalese beer. lamb and lamb corma is also worth a try paired with naan.
We tried the veg thali and the sherpa subtitled court. the thali consisted of rice, a small part of dal (gravied lentil stir fried part of greens, a mixed herbal part (sabzi) and chutney. the papad (Fritten-Lentil-Kripp) was not included in our plate, while the menu says it is a part of the meal. all other tables received their thali’s with the papad. I thought it was weird. we had to place an order separately and yet the error was not corrected. the Sherpa signature, the slowly boiled goat is good. it served with flat rice, but I replaced mine for rice. the combo felt too dry for my taste, but still it was yam. many people order momos. they looked pretty...read more
We came here because we were looking for another kitchen to try out in newtown, and with a 40% discounted the actual rating for this was [3.5], but without it it would be [3.] the personal was nice, but the restaurant was super underoccupied, and accidentally served a dish with less pieces, although they were kind to it in the bill. we had cut the garlic prawns (diger garnel with garlic and finished with a hauch of Tangy sauce $18.90) that was really delicious, although (jum), and also the Nepalese goat curry (boneless diced goat slowly baked in mixed acres of cinnamon, tomato, coriander and bay leaves with $20.90)
I mainly chose a Nepalese restaurant for the momo. sherpas had thinner case than I used to it, but the cured vegetables in the inner were great. the chicken and rice was interesting, although the ziegenbriyani was much better. I suppose the serviettes are quite small. the lunch specialties seem a good one, but a few we ordered came with a free drink and I only realized later that we never get the drinks.
This was my first time having Nepalese food. The food definitely hits your taste buds, it's very rich and has so many great tasting herbs and spices. Great find in Newtown
