Sol Grill - Newport Beach

Went last month and sat in a bad area. No air circulation. Posted a not so good review. To their credit they offered to make it right. Food was great

Great food and ambiance. Very nice inside. Quite location. I had the fish and it was very good. I will be back.

We just had our daughter's baby shower in their event space upstairs. It was perfect in every way. Misty, the owner was incredibly helpful. Our guests raved about the food (especially the yummy meatballs) and sangria. The room was so much fun to decorate! Loved it!! Great place to throw a party!

This cute cozy place offers the comfort of home . It feels like the building was once a small cottage that got converted to a restaurant. It 's a little claustrophobic and extremely hot inside. It seems there 's no central air and that all the heat is coming from the kitchen, cooking. We came on a Saturday night and there was plenty of parking which is so rare for Newport. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server was a very bright and pleasant young lady, we adored her (forgot her name). She was kind enough to give each of us separate checks (went with a meetup group). They gave us the booth in the back, which was a private room (between the 2 single use bathrooms) and we enjoyed the privacy and never felt forgotten. Luckily there was doors to the outside that were left open so we got an occasional cool breeze to combat the hotness. The food was good, it was comfort food, everyone enjoyed their meals but it wasn 't anything special. It was like going to moms house and having good food with loved ones. Though I want to support small businesses and I would definitely recommend this place to friends, I don 't think I could return simply because the temperature was really just too hot for me.

Always excellent service and food.... Always enjoy going! Banquets we've had are well catered.
