Bidra med feedbackMy wife and I enjoyed this restaurant. we only saw two employees, but they were very attentive. tai seemed to be the host, server manager and had an assistent. he was personable and well informed about the menu, and often checked for us. eating and bar drinks were very good. I had the 3-day cook special, which was a great worth at $30. there were some noises out of the bar, but not exaggerated. my only suggestion would be to cut off a part of the restaurant in slow evenings to create a more cozy atmosphere. thanks tai for their service.
We went at 6:46 pm on Saturday night and the restaurant is large, but there was only one other table of patrons, which was great since it 's almost impossible to find a nice restaurant in Newport Beach where you can hear the people at your own table speak. Tod (Todd? was our server and he was amazing, friendly, got all the orders right, and took great care of us. The menu had everything we wanted it 's not gigantic, but it 's excellent. And I 'm a vegetarian (but I eat fish . I consider this place a real find .
Stayed at the hotel for the weekend and ate dinner there our first night. The meal was underwhelming. I ordered the New York Prime and it was very salty. My wife ordered the salmon and had the same complaint. The decor is modern, but no real ambience as the entire restaurant was very brightly lit. It turned out the same menu was provided as the room service menu. The subsequent items we ordered the next night had the same issue. Lots of salt, but not much else for flavor.
The appetizers are worth it, entrees are average... good for a quick bite and drinks
This place has the potential to be an amazing restaurant, however it needs a major overhaul. The food is delicious, but the service is terrible and the ambience is pretty sad.
