Fishtails Cafe - Newport

Fishtail is the best family owner small cafe! My husband and I don't come very often to the coast and I'm so excited to have stumbled over this place! The crab cakes are delicious, the coffee is delicious, and the service is wonderful! Elaina her daughter was so friendly and the whole mood of these places is so sweet! It reminds me to go to my grandmother's house for Sunday breakfast! You won't regret coming here!

We found this amazing restaurant after a trip to the aquarium and was one of the best parts of our day! The service was exceptional, how busy it was and the food was almost better. Fish and chips definitely worth waiting, 11'y son get out best at all! Not a disappointed guest. Will definitely return! Oh, and the prices for these days were another bonus! Thank you. Fishtails Cafe is a real find that is a bit away from the beaten path, near the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Fishtails Cafe has been in the family since it was founded. First visit today and will definitely repeat. The menu is great, service excellent, meal ready for perfection. Everything at a reasonable price! Look around, there are many pictures, drawings and paintings on the walls that remind family trips to local artists. A special article is a family heirloom of the old naval ship, U.S. Constitution Old Ironsides from one of the grandfathers of the family. Fish N chips were okay. Cole Slav was strange. Nice area for kids to do things. All left an hour before they were closed and it seemed as if they were closed early. Clean, but somehow down.

We were staying on our boat at Yaquina Bay Port of Newport and stopped in for breakfast at the Fishtails Cafe. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and upbeat. We got 2 traditional eggs, bacon, and potato breakfasts and a fruit bowl to go. The home style red potatoes were delicious and everything was cooked perfectly! We were so impressed with the homemade sourdough bread toast that we bought a loaf to go. The sourdough was frozen and thawed perfectly for us to enjoy later that day. We have decided that Fishtails Cafe is our go to spot when we are staying at the Port of Newport ?????? We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere and delicious food! You won?t be sorry ????
