The Sand Bar & Seafood Company

Upon arriving for our reservation, we were disappointed to find that the kitchen was already closed. We were seated quickly, but it felt like we were in our own living room. The table was dirty and we had to flag down the server. The service was slow, even though there were not many other customers. Overall, we were not impressed and probably won't return.

As always, the service was excellent, although the initial greeting was overly friendly.

Although I am not a vegetarian, I decided to try some of the vegetarian options at this restaurant for a change. I found them to be nice, but slightly more expensive when compared to the fish or meat dishes on the menu.

Another great afternoon in Kilkies. One of the few Leigh on Sea restaurants to offer good food all day, so great when your planning a lazy afternoon lunch and drinks. Great service, tasty paella and we moved from inside to eat to enjoy the sun.

Really good quality, healthy food. Lovely serving staff. Area around the restaurant a bit grey and dismal but there is nothing the restaurant can do about that!
