Bidra med feedbackPopped in there with couple of mates to say goodbye to the pub we used to all use when we lived in the area. This is its final week before it gets taken over. It has always been good for a cheap drink and a nice place to meet up before going out
This place is not very good at stock keeping and has limited choice. I wanted a meal and a craft beer. But I was immediately told that the didn't have any eggs, any bacon and no fish. So, the scampi and the fish and chips were unavailable. I wanted to drink a Portobello Stiff Upper Lip, but they didn't have that beer anymore. The same with the Punk IPA, the San Miguel and the new Mad Squirrel West Coast IPA. All out of stock. The only IPA they did have was the Shipyard IPA. And this was at a Friday night just before the weekend. So, they desperately need a manager that knows how to make an inventory and orders a delivery in time.
Popped in for a quick lunch as work locally. Jacket potato, beans, cheese and a side salad. Service was quick, pub was clean, and in terms of value, price is not too different to a maccers or KFC! The pub wasn't particularly busy- lunchtime in the week. Customers were largely men over 60, which is typical of a spoons. They were all on their best behaviour however- no drunken antics going on. Shame I could only have a soda and lime with my lunch as it was back to work after!
Excellent pub. Delicious and affordable meals, in the comfortable, atmospheric venue that wetherspoons pubs always have. Great customer service, we were given complimentary dessert after some of our order didn't arrive.
Service is really bad, not as expectation. I have noticed that staff are really rude while serving. I think this pub is not Asian friendly. We feel undervalued. I have also noticed that customers sitting near by me are treated nicely. Is it because of they are white?. If yes then you should have clearly stated in your policy. If you want your pub visited by all then it would be better to improve your serving policy. Moreover we found dirty plate on our table, staff took the plate but didn’t clean the table. Please note that this is not the first time. It’s not too hard to address customer by saying for example how are you or thank you or enjoy your drink or cleaning the tables. We as Asian can expect at least such minimum quality service. Can’t we?. Hopefully next visit will be better one.
