Mean-eyed Cat - Newcastle upon Tyne

Large small handcrafted micro pub with a really diverse bunch of beers on tap, cask and cans. Had a cognac-infused cake stout that was phenomenal and truly unique! Very recommended.

Large micro pub, friendly staff, very good selection of barrels and drawing beer. Cask ales well kept. Eclectic interior (good) and a few tables outside. Very civilized. Nice place for one or two hours near the city centre. Sensible Kovid rules in place when I visited; Table service.

If you took every ingredient to make the perfect bar and threw them together then added a bit of magic you'd get the Mean Eyed Cat! A smashing environment surrounded by great people, fantastic selection of thoughtfully sourced, fresh and perfectly poured cask and keg beer (not just thrown in any old glass! and in a brilliant location with a guaranteed warm welcome. Great outside space at the back too. A happy place in the Toon

Love it! One of my favourite places for a beer. Fun decor, some different/ strange beers on tap and I love them. Cherry beer is incredible. The little outdoor patio is also a nice area to sit, even now in the cold.
