Saffron Persian Grill - Newark

I gave this restaurant 1 star since there is no option for zero. It is a very poor restaurant with terrible food. They attempted to make my ethnic cuisine but failed miserably. I would not recommend wasting your money or time by dining here.

I just happened to be here after visiting another restaurant, and I highly recommend this place for meat lovers. I really enjoyed the giro dish, and everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced.

First of all, they had a child running the cash register. Then, the young server got our order wrong and had an attitude about it. He did not bother to double-check the order before his parents prepared it in the kitchen. It seems like there is a lack of responsibility being passed from the parents to their children who work here. I overheard the child arguing with another child about stealing money while we were eating. It was uncomfortable to witness, especially since they were talking about it in English. They also complained about not wanting to help their parents, which was also in English and very off-putting. Overall, the experience was unpleasant and I feel sorry for the owner, as the children running the place seem to be causing more harm than good. Good luck to everyone involved.

Great eating for a fair price. not many menu options, but is sometimes nice!

This is my favorite place in the bay area for mediterranean food, is a small place but with a huge flavor. And the attention is super friendly. Anything on the menu is a must order item.
