Outback Steakhouse - Newark

I fought for this outback for my dad's birthday. everything was great. we had plans to go to texas roadhouse that did not allow any reservations and when we are there they refused to serve us because we were a party of ten, apparently that is their weekend policy. I called outback and they were great! the hostess knew they had another big party at the time we wanted, but the time took to talk to the manager to see if they could take us instead of just turning us away. they said we might have to wait a bit if we were to sit on a table, but they caught us on a table. our waitress was very nice. they brought my father dessert and after we had sung happy birthday, the busser sang behind us the stevie wonder birthday song when he sat the other table. the personal seemed to be super pleasant and as far as food is concerned, it was great. I worked in restaurants for years, including several steak houses and was very happy with everything! probably the new place for dads B-Day, and he had a great time!

My wife and I went to dinner last night for my birthday. We were seated as soon as we got there. Our server Kara G was the BEST. She made sure we were taken care in every respect. We spoke to Andrew, the manager, and expressed our pleasure with the way Kara took care of all of our needs. Andrew resolved several issues at tables around us and he was very helpful to those patrons. GREAT place to have dinner!!!!

Good place for steaks and prime rib and desserts. The adult beverages are nice as well.

Ordered a bone in rib eye cooked medium. Received it well done. Asked for it to be cooked again. They accommodated the request. When the check came it “appeared” that the meal was comped… but look closely. They rang it in again for the refire then comped that one off the bill. But the “suggested tip” amount included this refired $30 entree that we really didn’t order. We always tip at least 20% of the bill. If it had been a social occasion we would not have looked at the bill so closely. Please, please look at your check carefully!

I had an unpleasant experience over 15 years ago and hadn't eaten at an Outback restaurant since that time. My recent visit was very good! Our server was helpful, very attentive and funny. She was working on Mother's Day despite the fact that she was a mother herself... The food was well prepared, had great flavor, and the cocktails were tasty too?
